Winners of OUTWARD 2010 announced

Twenty-three works that could be seen last year on outdoor ad space throughout Croatia made the shortlist for the Outward 2010 award, awarded for the best design of large format posters.

The expert jury selected 7 winners in five categories; billboard, billboard series, city light, city light series, and megaboard, by secret ballot before the Outward 2010 awards ceremony, which took place on Tuesday, 9 November 2010 at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

The expert jury consisted of leading experts from marketing agencies and companies; Julijana Vrbanek, Media Director, Digitel Media Services, Petra Čadež, VIPNET Marketing Communications Manager, Goran Alpez, Marketing Director of Zagrebačka banka, Rajna Cuculić, Media Com Director, Ljiljana Ivošević, Head of Communications Planning at MC Cann Erickson, Anamarija Horaček, Media Director of Unex MPG, Stanko Abadžić, photographer, Boris Ljubičić, Director of Studio International, Vanja Blumenšajn, Creative Director of Imago RA, Denis Kurtović, Marketing Manager of Bill, Edward Jones, Creative Director of Publicis agency and Krešimir Renzo Prosoli, Director of Real Media Agency.

This year also, the audience had the opportunity to choose their favourites in the billboard category by voting on the website www.outdoor-akzent.hr during October 2010. Awards were given based on votes submitted by members of the public and the luckiest voter won a ticket for the Outward 2010 award ceremony.

The jubilee tenth Outward 2010 awards ceremony was hosted by Danijela Trbović. Guests enjoyed a concert by Oliver Dragojević as part of the award ceremony, and DJ Bizzo was a surprise at the after party.

The Outward Award was launched in 2001 by the outdoor advertising company outdoor akzent, with the aim of encouraging and rewarding quality and creativity in poster design. Outdoor akzent is a member of the outdoor advertising group EPAMEDIA, a leading company for advertising in public spaces in Central and Eastern Europe.
